Anyone facing financial, social, and/or healthcare barriers is invited to apply for support.

Please note: An application does not guarantee that support will be granted. Due to high demand and limited resources, we prioritize distribution of our resources based on our Equity Considerations Guidelines.

Application Checklist

To apply for Treatment Placement or Cash Assistance, you will need the following information and documentation:

Demographic and clinical information about yourself 

Insights to your current treatment goals and needs, along with current providers and previous treatment episodes

Health insurance information, including a picture of the front and back of your health insurance card (if relevant)

Documentation demonstrating financial need such as a recent bank statement, last year's tax return, SSI/SSD letter, or other document explaining your circumstances

✅ Contact information for an optional letter of recommendation to support your application

  • Anyone living in the United States that is navigating an eating disorder identified within the DSM V TR may apply. If you are a parent of a minor or hold the status of Power of Attorney for an adult, you may apply on their behalf.

  • We help connect patients to all levels of care: inpatient, residential, intensive family treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, or outpatient sessions with therapists, dietitians, nutritionists, and coaches.

  • Many things go into this decision. Please visit our Equity Consideration Matrix for a comprehensive view of how we make this decision. As an overview, we take the following circumstances into consideration:

    • True financial need 

    • Significant insurance barriers

    • Marginalized identities within the eating disorder narrative

    • Cultural and systemic barriers to quality healthcare

    • Personal motivation, resilience, and commitment to recovery

    • Clinical appropriateness
