MEAL SUPPORT

Free, accessible, and eating disorder-informed meal support for individuals in outpatient recovery.

Meal support provides a safe and supportive environment during meals, helping individuals with eating disorders navigate the challenges of eating. Many people in recovery experience anxiety around meals, leading to avoidance or compensatory behaviors. Having structured support during mealtimes can be transformative, reinforcing regular eating patterns and reducing distress.

How the Meal Support Program Works

Project HEAL, in partnership with Clinician’s Incubator, offers free, weekly virtual meal support for individuals at the outpatient level of care.

  • What to Expect

Live, virtual, drop-in group meals with trained facilitators

Guided support from nutrition practitioners in the Clinician’s Incubator training program

    A structured meal experience, including:

    - A brief check-in on hunger/fullness cues

    - Eating together in a safe and supportive space

  • Session Facilitators

Sessions are led by nutrition practitioners in the process of obtaining their Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) certification.

This credential requires a graduate degree, extensive supervision, and board approval, ensuring a high level of professional support.

  • What You'll Need

A phone, tablet, or computer with video access

    A quiet space for meals

Food (prepared at home or takeout)
