Accomplishments: Scholarships
- 2/10/12: Project HEAL awarded our Seventh Scholarship. The recipient went to Rain Rock Eating Disorder Treatment Center in Oregon.
- 1/5/12: Project HEAL awarded our Sixth Scholarship (The HEAL Tapestry Fund). The recipient went to Tapestry in North Carolina.
- 11/15/10: Project HEAL awarded our Fifth Scholarship (The HEAL Tapestry Fund). The recipient went to Tapestry in North Carolina.
- 3/15/10: Project HEAL awarded our Fourth Scholarship. The recipient went to Princeton Medical Center in Princeton, New Jersey.
- 11/9/09: Project HEAL awarded our Third Scholarship. The recipient went to Timberline Knolls in Lemont, Illinois.
- 3/12/09: Project HEAL awarded our Second Scholarship. The recipient went to La Ventana Treatment Center in Thousand Oaks, California.
- 9/15/08: Project HEAL awarded our First Scholarship. The recipient went to Remuda Ranch in Wickenburg, Arizona.
Accomplishments: Honors
- 1/17/13: Liana was named Commack, NY’s “Greatest Person of the Year” by The Patch.
- 7/10/12: Kristina was named Local Lady Godiva Summer Honoree 2012
- 5/22/12: Liana was named one of Jewish Weeks 36 Under 36
- 5/16/12: Liana and Kristina were honored at The Whitney Museum for The Wall Street Journal Donor of the Day Celebration
- 3/07/12: Carolina Chapter co-founder, Heather Purdin, is voted as Encore Magazine’s, “2012 Humanitarian Volunteer of the Year“
- 11/7/11: Liana and Kristina were honored at Carnegie Hall at Glamour Magazine’s 21st Women of the Year Awards ceremony, named 2 of the 21 Amazing Young Women in the country for their work with Project HEAL.
- 11/1/11: Seventeen Magazine selected Liana and Kristina as “Real-Life Body Peace Heroes.”
- 10/19/11: Project HEAL was invited into the NEDA Network of the National Eating Disorders Association as the first teen-founded non-profit to join the network.
- 8/11/11: Project HEAL attended The United Nations International Youth Culmination Celebration.
- 4/15/11-4/17/11: Kristina traveled to Washington, DC for her first meeting as a newly elected member of the Active Minds Student Advisory Committee.
- 4/01/11-4/03/11: Liana and Kristina were invited to attend the Clinton Global Initiative University Conference in San Diego, California in April.
- 3/28/11-3/29/11: Kristina was awarded the 2011 Student Mental Health Advocate Award by the University of Michigan Depression Center.
- 12/03/10: Liana received an award at The Kids in Action Annual Youth Conference. Long Island Teens who had an idea and turned it into a reality! Liana and Sarah spoke to 1,500 middle school students in an effort to inspire and motivate them to make a difference.
- 10/10/10: Liana received an Ally Katzz Award at the NYC tween summit. Liana and Sarah Kravette also held a workshop for parents attending the summit. This workshop focused on providing strategies for parents to improve their child’s self-esteem and body image.
- 1/25/10: Project HEAL was honored at the Women’s Fortune 52 event.
Accomplishments: Other
- 11/8/12: Project HEAL became international, incorporating in Canada! Thank you for everyone who made this possible. Project HEAL would like to give a special thanks to McKenna Long & Aldridge!
- 10/07/12: Project HEAL attended the 2012 National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) walk in NYC.
- 2/10/12: Liana Rosenman met with Congressman Steve Israel to discuss how Project HEAL can help education members of congress about eating disorders.
- 1/16/12: Liana Rosenman interviewed actress Josie Loren who is best known for her role as Kaylie Cruz on the hit television series Make It or Break It.
- 10/02/10: Project HEAL attended the NEDA walk.
- 6/13/10: Liana interviewed Duff Goldman from Ace of Cakes for Project HEAL’s website at the Great American Food and Music Festival.
- 4/1/10: Project HEAL received a $5,000 grant from The Disney Foundation.
- 5/11/09: Project HEAL received 501 (c) (3) status.
- 7/25/08: Project HEAL received a partial scholarship of $25,000 from Remuda Ranch.
