On Saturday, October 29, Project HEAL’s New Jersey Chapter hosted its First Annual Fall Soiree at the Barsky Gallery in Hoboken, NJ. The night included a robust silent auction and art auction, live entertainment by DJ FE, as well as an ice cream bar sponsored by 2016 Dessert Sponsor Penguin Ice Cream.
The Chapter recognized its Project HEALER of the Year, Michael Thomas and Recovery Spark as well as two volunteers of the year, Jeanette Suros and Caroline Och. Project HEAL Grant recipient Lieba Brownstein shared inspirational remarks and her personal writings about her experience with ED and how Project HEAL helped put her on a path towards full recovery. The event raised over $3,000 to support Project HEAL’s National treatment grant program.
New Jersey Chapter Co-Leaders Christina Zapata and Amanda Parker would like to thank all of the 2016 sponsors and supporters who made this event possible, especially Albert Barsky of the Barsky Gallery, Todd Baily of Hoboken Catering, Tom and Laurie Och of Penguin Ice Cream, all of the businesses, restaurants, studios and artists who donated towards the auction, and last but certainly not least the amazing event committee members who volunteered their time and resources to organize and produce the event.
