Project HEAL has started a new blog series called HEAL Anthems where people from our community share what their recovery anthem is and why. We wanted to give you a playlist where you can access all of our favorite anthems and new anthems added each week. This week we have Abby O’Laughlin, Social Media Manager for Project HEAL.

You can check out our playlist and hear the song Abby chose below or on Project HEAL’s Spotify profile.

Song: So Small by Carrie Underwood

What does this song mean to you? I was introduced to this song by one of my favorite Recovery Care Specialists in treatment for an eating disorder. I have a bad habit of making problems so much bigger than they are. This song reminds me to focus on the things that matter. When recovery is hard, this song reinforces that recovery is possible.

What’s your favorite lyric from the song?

“While you’re sitting around thinking about what you can’t change                                                                        And worrying about all the wrong things
Time’s flying by, moving so fast
You better make it count ’cause you can’t get it back.”
